Dr Hong is a senior Family Physician with over 10 years of experience in primary care. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2010 and completed rotations across Singapore General Hospital, Changi General Hospital, and Kandang Kerbau Women’s and Children’s Hospital, gaining broad clinical experience. He was awarded the SingHealth Best House Officer Award in 2011.
Dr Hong served in the Polyclinic system before moving into private practice, where he discovered his passion for Family Medicine. During his time at the Polyclinic, he guided junior doctors and played a key role in establishing the Minor Surgical Procedure Clinic, training colleagues in essential surgical skills. He remains committed to continuously refining his procedural expertise.

Pursuing his belief in holistic patient care, Dr Hong attained the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine in 2014 and became an accredited Family Physician. His special interest in dermatology led him to complete the Graduate Diploma in Family Practice Dermatology at the National Skin Centre in 2017. He enjoys helping patients manage skin conditions with both medical expertise and practical skincare advice.

Recognizing the growing importance of mental health in primary care, Dr Hong furthered his training with the Institute of Mental Health, earning the Graduate Diploma in Mental Health in 2022. His calm and attentive approach has helped many patients feel safe and supported when addressing mental health concerns.

Outside of clinical work, Dr Hong is an avid reader and lifelong learner. He practices mindfulness and meditation daily and values spending quality time with his family. His approach to medicine, parenting, and life is deeply influenced by the principles of mindfulness — nurturing awareness and resilience through all seasons.
